About Us

How can we best describe our school? Marlboro Prep is a private school, conveniently located in Marlboro, New Jersey. Our school is built on the foundation that begins with an enthusiastic mix of great teachers, challenging curriculum and opportunities for expanded learning that serves children ages 1 month to Fifth Grade. We strive to accomplish excellence among all grade levels and age groups, and focus entirely on providing the best future for children.

In an effort to accommodate the unpredictable schedules many parents often encounter, Marlboro Prep offers flexible hours, from 7am to 8pm, without extra cost.

We are very well known for our challenging academic programs, but more importantly, programs that get results. Our academic curriculum is stimulating at all grade levels, and we are committed to providing one of the leading academic programs in New Jersey. Beyond academics we also provide on site extra curricular activities, such as: Dance, Sports, Gymnastics, Music, Artand Drama classes.

Age groupings are generally based on the child’s age as of September 1 of each new school year. At Marlboro Prep groupings are flexible and a child may be moved from one group to another to meet the child’s educational needs.

As a profession, we hold ourselves to the highest standards in order to provide safe, healthy, nurturing and responsive settings for children.

The Core Values are “deeply rooted in the history of our field” such as:

- Enable children to participate to their full potential in environments that are carefully planned to serve individual needs and to facilitate the child’s progress in the social, emotional, physical and cognitive areas of development.

- Understand the sequences and patterns of child development and cultural influences on those patterns. Implement programs and use guidance techniques that take into account the ages of the children and individual variations in their development.

- Enhance each child’s feelings of competence, independence and self-esteem.

- Recognize and respect the uniqueness and the potential of each child. Respect the dignity of each family and its culture, language, customs, and beliefs.

- Create a climate of trust and candor that will enable staff to speak and act in the best interest of children, families, and the field of early childhood care and education.

We take an active part in keeping in touch with the latest advancements in the field of child development by participating in a continuous program of in-service education and studies for professional advancement. Staff members are certified in CPR by American Heart Association and in Pediatric First Aid by the American Red Cross.
